A Gift

I have made my dear friend Sue a fancy french sewing/jewellery roll.

 

I used cream linen for the main fabric and polka dot linen for the pockets.

I used perle thread in a matching red colour to quilt hearts on the front on the roll.

 

The ribbon is hand stitched using silk thread.  This sewing roll is a Mandy Shaw design from her 'Quilt Yourself Gorgeous' book.

December OPAM 2013

I have been making birthday presents for two dear friends.  The first one I did make at the end of last month but forgot to add it to my OPAM total. 

 The blue note book I made at the beginning December for a special birthday last Saturday.

These are little note books.  I loved making them.  Simple and beautiful gifts.

I have a wonderful friend called Sue. Every birthday and Christmas, she gives me the most beautiful hand made gift. This year, her gift made me cry.

Angelina

Angelina has been away staying with friends at a local quilt show.
It was her first sleep over away from home. She was a bit nervous leaving behind her family but it did not last long once she met up with her two friends.
Bronwyn and Rose are sisters. They are lovely girls with a real sparkle in their eyes! They came to stay here with Angelina for a few days after the quilt show. The house was filled with the sound of giggling girls.
There will be more of the tales of Angelina over the next few months.
