Auckland
I love Auckland. What a City! This photo was taken from Devonport. If you are visiting the city, you must go up the Sky Tower. From the top of the tower is the most amazing view of Auckland.
All quilters and textile artists should take the ferry from the city to Devonport. Walk up the main high street. Stop at the public library. There is a quilt hanging in the library. Then continue up the street to Cushla Village Fabric shop. This is a shop were you leave your husband/partner next door in the coffee shop. And remember to take his credit card!!
Do you want to see what came home with me as it kept calling out to me in the Cushla?

Los Angeles
Have you ever been to LA? It is an amazing place! Three days whistle stop tour. We visited the Chinese Theatre, Beverley Hills, Hollywood Farmer's Market, Paramount Studios and Vernice Beach. And lets not forget the shopping malls! We met some wonderful friendly but weird locals on our travels through LA. The roads were confusing and volume of traffic horrendous. But I still would stop-over again. The only disappointing fact about LA is that I did not find any quilting shops. We found TWO skating board shops for my son. But not one quilting shop! This is the reason I need to go back for another visit. If you have visited LA and know were the quilting shop or quilters hang out, please let me know. I thought USA was the big wig in the quilting world!!
