Winter Solstice

Once again we have reached the best time of the year.  Today is the shortest day and longest night. Tommorrw our days start to become longer by a few minutes each day.  As I say good bye to another winter, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Snowman

This project was started as a Plym Piecemakers Christmas challenge many years ago.  We were given two small pieces of Christmas fabrics and instructed to make an item.

 I hand applique a snowman on a central square and bordered the block with the fabrics.

Tea Cosy

I really enjoy making tea cosies.  I have made three in the last month.  They are quick and simple to make.  They also make ideal gifts. 

This cosy is madw with Moda fabrics. 

I altered the pattern again to make this cosy smaller than my last two.  It stills fits over a large tea pot.
