This is the day that I have been waiting for since October. Here in Great Britain we changed our clocks to British Summer Time. That mean we lost an hour's sleep last night. Which in turns means we start getting lighter evenings. I love B.S.T. I seam to get much more done with the lighter evenings and warmer days.
The other important thing about today is it is Census Day too. Every ten years there is a count of the population of Great Britain. This year we received a booklet that asked all sort of questions. If any household does not fill their census booklet and return soon there is one thousand pound fine. There is an option to fill the census online. I told Mr Daisychain that we should fill in the booklet and let the government transfer the information on to the computer themselves!!
In a hundred years when this census is realised to the public, anyone tracing my family history will find me living in yet another new county. I wonder where I will be in ten years time?

Katipatch Sister Block Exchange
It is that time of year again for the Katipatch swap. This year the theme is 'Houses'.
These are the fabrics that were chosen by Carol for this year's blocks. I only used one fabric, which was the light beige.
This is the fourth year of the Sister Block Exchange. Many thanks to Carol of Katipatch for hosting the swap each year. See you next year!!!

Ikea
You either love or hate this shop. I love it!! We only had an hour to go around the whole shop. This branch has four floors. Mr Daisychain wanted to look at kitchens but I wanted to go to the haberdashery. I did manage to buy some sheer fabric at £3.00 pm. It will only take up a very small amount of room in my suitcase. At that price I would be foolish not to buy a metre, well that is what I told Mr Daisychain!
Must dash as we must catch the noon ferry to the Isle of Wight.

Hobbycraft
Mr Daisychain and I are staying in Hampshire for a few days. We used to live in Hampshire back in our younger days. I remember when this shop came to town and opened. I managed to persuade Mr Daisychain that I needed to come back to Hobbycraft to check that it was still open!!!
I did not buy any fabric as I felt it was too expensive but I did buy some threads. We are off to the cinema to see the King's Speech later. I spotted another great shop that I would like to visit tomorrow which is on the way to the ferry terminal. I know that we should have time to spare before catching the ferry. Come back tomorrow to see if I managed to get a little shopping done in the morning.
